A) The Pilot Stalled in a high G flameout.
or
B) "At the previous show they did, the ground was at an altitude 1000 feet lower and the pilot forgot to calibrate his altimeter for the ground being 1000 feet higher at this show, so he thought he was 1000 feet higher than he was..he survived but lost his place in the Thunderbirds".
or
C) Bad pilot Error when he tried to push the envelope for the spectators and just mis-judged his altitude.

Either way....Around 20 millions dollars just went down the drain and a pilot lost his place on the Thunderbirds team.
