This happened in Mexico, It is called here as "El linchamiento de Tlahuac". I remember the news fullcovarage and a all week debate. The thing goes like this, to start the police where inocent and where undercover, chasing drugdealers in local school, so they where often around the area. Some blabbermouth old fat ladies that didnt had nothing to do, started to suspect at the agents as the drugdealers and starter rumors Concern for their kids, one of them led an attack, so obviously later theyre husbands. neighbors and passersby came along. The reporters and camera men filming, tried to save the police men, by that time one of them was already unconsciuos and therefore later dead, the only police man tha manage to be taken off to the hospital, died later. As you can see there where also other police theyre, barely helping, they later confesed that they bosses told them not to aid theyre collegues. That was the wierd part, they even showed the call where the aid was canceled.
So it was resume that the boss had conection with drugdeales and where they the one leading the attack.
Many townpeople are fugitive and drugdealers got away with this one.
