hmmm..easy to day..but what kinda bear? full size grizz or a full size predatory black bear? or a bear in an instant that can come at u within a split second. never venture into a bears home without a professional guide. the key is being predictable to the bear. but there is never a sasfe distance froma a determined bear. simply do not stress it out and be prepared with bear mase.
