*warning: mildly graphic...but not too bad* A man dying of AIDS decides to end himself, but when setting himself ablaze doesn't work, he's forced to use a shotgun. Damn, that's a lot of AIDS splattered on the highway.

No-one will ever know what that poor guy was going through and I think it's fucking tragic that he felt it necessary to end his life that way! Where were his friends? Where were his family? Did anyone even think of trying to stop him? Probably not - counselling doesn't sell airtime, no matter where you live! 
i was driving on the roadway under this bridge that day, and half a brain landed on my windshield...i was wondering what it was until i saw the clip...i saved a screen capture of the video, printed the moment he blew his brains out, and put in on a frame with the half of his brain that i caught...wonder where the other half is.

Well, I really don't think that Health Insurrance would of helped him anyway, maybe if he lived here in Canada he would of been better off, we have free health care and it's much harder to obtain guns here...

I was in Los Angeles when this happened. It was Southbound on the 110 Harbor Freeway, which as a tow truck driver I happened to be working. I wasn't the driver that took the truck away, but I was on the scene about 20 minutes after this happened. In answer to the question about the dog surviving: No, the dog was killed inside the truck from the fire. This happened in 1994, if I recall (it has been awhile), and HMOs weren't helping AIDS patients properly until several years later in Los Angeles. This did not need to happen, and as a result of the corrupt health insurance industry in Los Angeles County, this man did not need to die.

I think that this man was against law, he was a criminal because only a criminal mind acts as him, first burning his car, next trying to jump the bridge, finally he had a strong gun...he was a bad man...I think so...so far of God...this man is on the way of devil....yes. He and his dog are now with god and you would know that if you would've witnessed somebody you love dying from a terrible disease like that(Cancer,Altzheimers,A LS,etc)
I did and I DO and it's breaking/broke my heart to be unable to end the suffering of my beloved family members
I know I should be whining somewhere else but it kinda broke out of me and I do not feel ashamed -whatever your reactions may be.

This happened in 1998. I remember because I was working in a cigar shop and a customer came running into my store yelling, "Dude! The craziest crap just happened on live TV. Some dude who was irate at his HMO burned his dog alive in his truck and blew his brains out!" That's so sad though. I can only imagine what it's like to be HIV positive, knowing that the people you pay to take care of you aren't doing their jobs.

That was on the 405 in the San Fernando Valley near LA a few years back. Pretty close to my house. The dog didn't make it either. I was pretty pissed about it.
