"Oooooh... how icky!" the proper English reporters say. Yet, that pelican scooped that pigeon up like an expert. Gulped 'er right down. A pigeon would thrash around as much as any fish would. I betcha Pelicans are eating pigeons all the time. Pelicans aren't going to be interested in the bread crumbs.... but they know that's where the nice, juicy pigeons are... Wow! I dont know whats going on with wildlife these days, but the birds better look out. In Scotland they have this Island full of Red Deer and lately theyve noticed that these deer actively stalk, hunt, kill and eat ground nesting birds. National Geographic took a film crew up there and got alot of killings on video. They are the only deer known to do this. It happens on Rum Island. Not sure why a Pelican turns cannibal, but that was pretty cool. Theres a change happening with the animals of the UK.
