It's the "Palio di Siena", a medieval horserace. Its just a cruel tradition...many people in italy wants to abolish it cause a lot of horses are killed for injuries after the exibition. But we also eat horses so there is nothing wasted :D

That was awesome, now there is some men with balls. What a great tradition, much better then the running of bulls.

This video it's a joke. The 1st start it's from this year, and the race is from another year. If you don't even respect tradition, don't make joke's about it. Who has the idea that the last jockey on the horse wins? This race is part of our soul. Nobody is able to understand that if you are born outside siena. The Palio was part of Siena before America was discovered. So better take it easy and make joke's about your stuff.

It is the Palio di Siena. The people take it very seriously over there. Each rider represents one of seventeen "contrade". It was featured on Discovery Atlas: Italy Revealed, which aired on the Discovery Channel.

Insane, but cool.

Horses aren't made to turn that sharp at such a fast pace. That's why horse racing tracks are so wide.
