That was amazing, beautiful and humbling.

I respect all wildlife but their is something about the Orca's that just creeps me out. They "play" with their food by knocking the crap out of the seals making them fly through the air. And stuff like this too is amazing. They also intentionally 'beach' themselves to get seals on land and then wobble back into the sea. I guess thier remarkable intelligence makes them scarrier than other predators, because they don't just kill and eat. They fuck around with their prey ,torturing the shit out of it, sometime before they eat it. They make sharks seem like seabass.

Dumasscheme- I saw a national geographic special years ago about orca's. And it showed them repeatedly knocking a seal way far out of the water for quite a while. It would only take ONE hit from their tail to kill or at least knock out or severely injure the seal so it couldn’t get away. I’m telling you they were playing with it in a grotesquely morbid way. They weren’t trying to stun it, it wasn’t going anywhere. They were just enjoying knocking the seal around like a damn racquetball. When I see a orca trying to catch a seal on T.V. I always root for the seal to get away. I know nature always has and always will be violent, but I still root for the seal.

Why is it that orcas can hunt and kill seals....but PETA cries "FOUL!" when humans do it?

mooglepimp- Are you serious? Your comment perplexes and disturbs me. Predators kill their prey for survival. The people that animal rights activists talk about kill seals for commercial exploitation, Mainly for their pelts, but for other body parts also. They kick the seals in the face, beat the baby’s with clubs, and if the seal is lucky it is skinned after it has been killed. Though these bastards aren’t concerned if they are still alive when they are skinning them which happens quite often. I really can't believe you think it's the same thing. Unbelievable.

Though I have to admit like I said above some animals seem to have a little too much fun killing their prey. But they’re still not doing it because of greed and evil reasons like humans do. And they consume the meat, they don’t waste anything. Whatever pieces one animals leaves another one will come and eat the rest. Animals really are better than people in a lot of ways.

I have seen EVERYTHING on Orcas, including the one Bulldog mentioned which is called, Killer Whales: Wolves of the Sea. These are the smartest animal on the planet besides man. More than wolves or apes. They actually DO play with their food and torture it. Some of them find it fun. But each Orca has a different personality, and ive seen some that catch and play nicely with seals, then gently put them in their mouth and carry them back to shore and release them. When they are captured and put in sea world shows, believe it or not they actually like to perform. A human cannot make a orca perform tricks if it doesnt want to, they are simply too big to be pushed around. They do it because theres nothing else to do, they get a kick out of the audience response, and they can have some extra fish. There are also wild orcas that play around with humans and dogs and even seagulls, but theyve never hurt them.

Myblueheaven- I am fascinated by animals if that's what you mean.People not so much. Most human behavior confuses me or makes me angry. But to get back to the point, myblueheaven-few natives take part in the slaughter of these animals. It’s mostly foreigners that come to brutalize and skin these animals. And if it was for survival the people would use the meat of the animal to feed their families use the pelts for clothes, blankets, etc. And most true hunters have a respect for the animals they kill and would NOT torture the animals and kill them in the ways these people do, that we’re talking about. And an answer to your question, Yes. If I had a choice to take part in a massacre of an animal species or become a thief. I think I would choose the latter. Seriously people, search the internet about this stuff, it's really sad. They're awesome animals.I know this isn't a chat room for animal rights debates, so I'll shut up now.
