I think Slamdawg9 was right. That was a case of racial profiling for sure. Was the guard not wearing something to identify himself as security? I hope he sues someone's ass off. She obviously felt positive that the black guy was the perp. Some cops need to learn that all black people aren't criminals.

@ Bollocks... it depends on what they're guarding. I think they can be licensed to carry a gun if they're guarding a bank or a jewellry store but not for regular retail shops or convenience stores. The law doesn't want anyone shot by a trigger-happy guard over a pack of cigs or t-shirt... I hope.

He was tasered because he looked like he was trying to jack a car. I'm sure it would have all been ok if he would have just indentified himself or yelled that he was trying to prevent a shoplifter from getting away.

This female cop like many cops, needs to pay closer attention to her 911 calls. I believe the police received a call for help from the store owner who probably said something like. "A man just stoled a pack of cigarettes and he is getting away in a red station wagon. He might have gone as far as to say that Security was fighting with him. I was able to see that the man was wearing a uniform of some kind. I could even see the F*cking patch on the video which is dark and we are far away. How is it that a trained observer (police officer) was not able to see that the black guy was wearing a Security guard jacket. I believe she did, but Police have nothing but disdain and contempt for Security, and she may have thought he was involved somehow, or was going too far. I know what it's like to not hear commands while you are in a struggle with someone. All you are focused on is the fight you are in. IF this dumb female cop had put 2+2 together, she might have come up with the actual story which was that her fat ass was being sent there to help catch a White male who had just stolen cigarette and was fighting with Security. But she instead thought that somehow the store owner must have gotten it wrong and it was just another Ni**er security guard gone bad. Pisses me off.

Well, I will agree with you that he should have taken the number and let the guy get away with the 20 dollar cigarettes but on the other hand, that police officer didn't know which one was the car jacker and she just assumed it was the black guy that was the car jacker out of the two. It's kind of hard to hear someone telling you to comply when you are engaged in a fight. Now, in all honesty, I would have made the same assumption that the black guy was the car jacker but I would have pulled out my gun and asked him to step out of the car and not just tazed him after three seconds of evaluation.
