LOL! I have one of those pens, too and my cat loves it. It's almost a form of torture because she'll chase it until she's absolutely pooped-out and never gets any satisfaction, besides making her mistress laugh her head off. :)

My dog (belgian malinois) LOOOVES the lazer pointer, he will chase it for hours on end. It's a cheap form of excercise, and I don't have to get my lazy ass off the couch :-D
