I have to admit it is pretty funny but the cops are pretty unprofessional with the laughing. I run an automotive repair shop and I wouldnt last very long as a business if i cracked up laughing at people that bring their cars in to be fixed because something went wrong with it. Doesnt surprise me though. Ive had many tickets over the years and most cops seem to be pretty pissed off people who revel in others misfortunes. But i think id be a pretty angry person too having to deal with the scum of the earth every day, so what are ya gonna do?

Seeing how most people cannot accept responsibility or accountability for thier actions the police came up with a great plan to arrest people in a controlled atmosphere that made it safe on both them and the suspect. For those of you you have posts on here with DUI you sound proud of it and don't blame the cops for catching you that one time as I'm sure you got away with it many times before and most likely are still driving drunk. I sure hope one does not run into one of your family members and kill them just remember how fun it is to do and do not be mad at them.

Damn people use your heads, do any of you realize how many people are killed each year in drunk driving accidents? it averages over 16,000 people every year. That is SIXTEEN THOUSAND lives destroyed by assholes who insist on drinking and driving. When do you think it becomes worth the effort? 50,000? 100,000?
Farvs & Snotty have hit the nail on the head. Drinking and driving is a real killer. I know people don`t think of the danger, especially when they are high, but some people have little consideration for other peoples safety. I hope that irresponsible skank gets hurt on the road alone.
Im not trying to downplay drunk driving. One of my best friends died about 10 years ago due to his own stupidity. But its one thing to be DRUNK, and another to have a couple beers and still fail a alcohol test. Which is it for most of these people? None of them looked like real criminals.
Every single one of you reading this, at one time or another, has had a couple beers and went behind a wheel if youre of age. Every town in the US has a bar with people in and out as long as its open, and how many of them are walking home? Drunk driving sucks, but dont make these people in the video out to be the scum of all humans, because you are all standing beside them, only without the cuffs and humility of being on the internet. I wouldve liked it better if it was drug dealers, child porn website owners, etc etc.

Farvs thanks for the backup but I am code 4 on this one. It not only killed 16,000 people but all those family members suffered as well. Props. what does a criminal look like? Did Jeffery Dhamer look like a criminal. Anyone who breaks the law no matter how petty the crime is a criminal. Oh I don't even drink alcohol and I'm in my 40's. I think this is a brilliant idea. The ciminal strolls right into the arms of the police and no one gets hurt. These people have warrants and have been evasive. But they like to win prizes and will show up for that. Kudos to the cops.

Strange comments, by and large. I applaud this sting. I agree with Props that this technique ought to be expanded to more serious offenders. Then I wonder: perhaps they already DO this with worse scum but they don't reveal it, so as not to dissuade its success. If this sting were widely known among the rapists and drug kingpins, they would look askance at any "prize" they've been notified of winning and the program would fizzle.
