I got into a fight with a woman once - she was picking on one of my mates. OK, I would like to ask you guys for advice. I've been in this kind of situation twice. And everyone says "don't ever hit a woman", gotcha. I never hit a woman in my life, but I can't possibly ponder what to do. Let me tell you what "restraining" her got me twice.

First time, it was with (my back then) girlfriend, we were in the streets and she got pissed off for some minor reason (she was kinda fucking psychotic) and when I just tried to calm her down by hugging her, she started pushing me and taking swings at me. I'm a trained fighter myself, so I managed to dodge her wild swinging and restrain her. GREAT ,HUH?? Not really, because she started screaming and violently trying to escape. So she got the attention of people around, and some self-proclaimed "knights in shining armor" started getting involved, even after I told them that she was my girlfriend and that I was not hurting her. Before I knew they had circled me, and were trying to get blows. I took a look around, there were 5 of them. I could have probably taken out 2, before getting jumped by the other 3, so naturally I didn't. So after releasing my girlfriend and having 5 guys circling me and yelling obscenities at me for about 3 blocks, that had no intentions of "talking it out", I just went on my way home, and they noticed her following me crying and begging forgiveness. TOO LATE, BREAK UP.

The second one, was a drunk chick, who 2 weaks prior to the fight, cheated on me and dumped me. This chick is an experienced boxer, that's how I met her in the first place. So she's drunk and we're at the same party, and she was basically being a tease to a bunch of guys who were all hitting on her. Then a friend of hers comes over and asks me to dance with her, so I do. Next thing I know I get tapped on the shoulder, and as soon I turn around WHAM! a right hook to my jaw. On the dance floor, in front of everybody, I was in utter disbelief and just gave her the "UNDERTAKER" stare. Next thing I know 3 of the guys who were hitting on her come and stand between me and her, and again threaten to "show ya da meaning of pain foo!!!". I was fucking dumbfounded, I couldn't believe I just got attacked, for no reason. And she was the one getting protected. I personally wanted to throw down with those 3 dudes, but was kindly asked to leave by security. After that they asked her to leave, and invited me back again, NO TNX!.

Now I apologise for that fucking long post, but if any of you read that shit I would LOVE to hear advice. What the fuck was I supposed to do if I can't fight back? What should I do? (except stop dating psychotic women) ol

@ 4thseal: your first story brought back memories for me. I had a girlfriend go psycho on me at a house party once. (for a very minor reason) Girl was slapping me and scratching my face, so I got her arm behind her back and held her against the wall with every intention of keeping her there until she calmed the fuck down. I was rewarded for my efforts with a cheap shot from some asshole (knight in shining armor) that landed around my ear/temple area. (don't know if you've ever been punched in the ear, but that shit hurts) The ensuing fight between me and asshole caused significant damage to various objects in the living room area of the home the party was held in.

That was about 7 years ago and to this day a lot of people still believe that I started the whole damn thing. All because a brainless girl decided to hit me in the face and I tried to stop her.

See my first post, I still contend that you simply cannot hit/manhandle a woman. (At least in the U.S.) Sorry, probably wasn't the advice you were looking for, but that's my take on it.
