the guy said it was an "issolated incident" (wrote it wrong dind't I?). these things are very common in prison, even more common then getting but raped. child molesters are the "bad guys" in prison.

camrynbelle It's not a lunchroom, it's called "a holding cell" they are being kept in there while being processed into the jail. the guards can't stay in there they have other things to do and many more inmates to look over. it happens in jails

Man beaten in Maricopa County jail for nearly an hour

When 34 year-old Richard Herman was arrested, he had no idea what was coming to him.

Herman was arrested for a charge of kidnapping. According to court records, at least two inmates believed he was in for child molestation. A surveillance video inside the intake cell where groups of inmates are held revealed that shortly after correctional officers walked out the cell doorway, 27 year-old Adrien Rivera approached Herman and began punching him over and over in the face. Over the next hour, three other inmates joined in, taking turns punching, kicking and jumping on top of Herman.

Hahaha, damn, the dumb inmates must've heard the charge was "kidnapping" and thought that meant he was a child molester.

My father runs a prison ministry and he explained to me that rapists and child molesters are the lowest of the low... They commonly get beaten and worst in prison.

Those type of attacks are extremely common. We are not dealing with innocent lambs here people... They are not all in prison for no reason.

There is a number of officer safety problems recorded there as well that I am more apalled at than a child molester getting beat down. I have no sympathy for that man if he did indeed molest children but this is not a responsible way to run a correctional facility.

Child molesters, rapists, sex offenders getting greater "punishment" behind prison walls are nothing new, though in the old days offenders jailed for harming or killing a child were more common and they get the same if not worse treatment that the fella in the vid. They really know how to beat you up in the old days, guys that end up in prison were the really hard and tough street guys. The news did'nt state who he was jailed for kidnapping but most probably it involved a child. Prison wardens and inmates has a unspoken rule of you scratch my back and i yours. Anyhow, i have on reliable sources that child and sex offenders were usually served as stress relievers for the long term prisoners, some prefer to release stress through physical means, others through more, ahem, "affectionate" methods. Still the Sheriff might not sound like the sharpest tip on the block but if he was a smart fella, i don't think he would be having that a a job. Now lets reach and light up the weed and chill.....

I know the victim personally.. he is not and never has been a child molester. Just because someone gets charged with kidnapping doesn't mean it always involves a child. There were no children involved whatsoever in this incident. He was with a group of people who he thought were his friends and something bad went down that he wasn't expecting. It involved an adult, not a child. He has served time that the state will end up being sued for and will pay him and his family back for.
