Fighting for no reason is dumb anyways. But if you have 2 fight, some of the best tactics can be applied on the ground. Standing around playing fisticuffs will get you worked. If someone even knows a little submission fighting, and they see you are afraid to fall down, thats the first place they will take you.

In this case he prolly could have quit after the first couple of punches, and if someone doesnt look like they are a threat anymore i agree to leave it at that. My point was fighting on the ground is not pussy. Most of the time it's the best and fastest way to end the fight. And having some mixed martial arts training i can tell you usually in a street fight it takes a few sec. to realise you have the guy beat. This guy surely knew that though and was trying to show off to his friends. Looked like it was all of them against one drunk guy to, lame!!!!

I might be from the old school also as its a matter of honor and its possible to have honor even in a street fight.In that situation he simply should have choked him out.Especially in a situation like that..you end it quick .Why trade punches with anyone of the street,you simply look for an opening and apply a choke hold.While in the chokehold if you want to impress the ladies then you simply cork him a couple of times in the face,as far a kicking in the head when a man is down,a very good way to kill a man.
Then you might find yourself having to fight off guys who want you as a boyfriend for a couple of years,,screw that.

Normally I agree with you Gwish, but in a street fight scenario, where one wrong move could mean paralysis you can't be stomping peoples' heads onto bare concrete. Maybe if your on grass but concrete? If you get lucky and happen to land one flush, that could mean a concussion if not worse.

I think that is kinda cheap, throwing kicks at a guys head when he's down. If he really had skills he'd wait til the guy gets up and knock him right back down again. I bet I could wreck shop on both of their punk asses.
