I happen to know a guy who has Tourette's and although he has tics and makes odd noises and occasionally swears, I've never seen him flip out. He comes out with our group of friends to bars and parties and such and no one notices or remarks or makes fun of him. One time a guy came up to him and asked him "What the fuck's your problem?" and he said, "I have Tourette's. What's your excuse?" Of course, the jerk slunk away.
