It seems there's been a lot of anti-soldier stuff as of late. I know some of the guys over there do some stupid crap, but I think it's a little out of balance here. Our soldiers are fighting for us out there and are doing plenty of good things too, but it seems very convenient that all we see is bits and clips of the bigger picture.

I am by no means trying to defend the guy's actions, but when your own people and the media constantly mess up your ability for you to do your job, I understand some frustration. At any rate, I'd like to see some good vids of our guys doing the good stuff too, since they have to be out there.

I'll say this: I, along with a host of other posters on NT fully support the troops and what they are doing overseas. And the ones who don't are probably 16 years old or younger so they don't matter.

I have some family in the Navy and our hope and prayer is that they can serve and come back home safe. Don't think for a second that I don't appreciate them, because as Mr. T kindly pointed out, I'm not going over there. And I'm glad there are men and women willing to do so.

It only further reinforces the notion that America is a tyrannical World Bully, which we aren't. I've seen videos of American soldiers handing out chocolate, water, and stuffed animals to Iraqi children before. But of course, that would make America look somewhat benevolent, and we don't want that do we.
