The thing I like about terrorists is that they're the only group left that you can openly hate and make fun of without pissing someone off. For example, I can say I hope these ones are in hell getting sodomized by the demon version of John Holmes right now...and no one cares.

The GIGN did an almost perfedt job except for one thing :
The staircase unit was set too high ! If you look closely you 'll see that they had to back up the staircase before opening the airplane front door. This happened because between the time when GIGN was rehearsing the assault and when they went into real action, the terrorist demanded the plane to be refuelled. Being heavier, the front door of the air plane was slightly lower then expected.
They still managed to do the job right and send ze terrorsits where they belong

Yep...It was a very well orchestrated and successful mission and is highly used as a taching aide.

They did everything to keep that plane on the ground and buy more time......either way, it was never going to make it to Paris.

One more thing.
The terrorists had planned to crash the air plane onto Paris.
The French Minister at that time, Charles PASQUA, figured this out and found a way to force the plane to land in Marseille. He would have ordered the plane to be shot down if the terrorsits were getting close to Paris.
