And good question about why they do it in public. If I no longer cared about life, why would I "care" about going out to a mall to do it. I'd just do it at home and get it over with as quickly as possible. I guess it was one last cry for help and then he made a split-second decision on the spot. Or he just slipped.
What better place to end your life than a shopping mall? Fuck that asshole. He (probably) hurt more people than he'll ever know (He doesn't "know" shit now because he's dead). He traumatized innocent shoppers (and his family, I'm guessing...I don't have any history on this asshole).
I'm not trying to be brutal or un-sympathetic here. I'm talking from experience. Suicide is the most selfish callous act anyone could ever commit. I've been through this BULLSHIT, I know what it does. Fuck you if you disagree...I don't care.

How come the camera was looking at him before the jump but then goes away as the jump occurs? I dunno i just find this kinda retarded.. maybe its cause the quality is CRAP but he looked to just be standing there like the other people near him, unless maybe he had a knife or something and was threatening to go over..
I just think its kinda weird that the cam would be lloking at him before jump and then look away if he was doing something suspicious. Was this some sort of accomplice? Like, some guy was like "DUDE I'M GONNA GO KILL MYSELF AT TEH MALL, WANNA FILM IT!!??1" other guy: "K ROFLMAO"
Hey, I realize that you may not like Michael Savage but I for one, don't mind him. I haven't a lot of opportunity to listen him but when I did, he was amusing to listen too.
I guess that is why it is sometimes called, "The Marketplace of Ideas". If you don't like it, change the station. I don't think it knocks your self-respect to listen.
Whether you disagree with him or not, he would not enjoy the popularity if some people did not agree with him. I dislike the stuff I would hear on Air America. You know what I did, I changed the station... Nice to live in a country where you have freedom... (Even if you believe that some people don't appreciate it or use it properly...)

In most cases the "maketplace of ideas" is a good thing, but with people like michael savage its different. Ever since I saw a caller heckle him on his old MSNBC show(which was cancelled b/c of this incident) and Savage proceeded to flip out and call the guy a "sodomite" and tell him to "get AIDS and die" I dont even show him the respect that I would show GOK and DaBizack. Hes just another lunatic that got a forum b/c of the shock value of the trash he spews
