She did have warrants out for her arrest. She did place false tags in the car. She was only three months pregnant and was already bleeding when the cops stopped her? If she was truly concerned about the welfare of the baby, perhaps she could have notified the police first that she was going to the hospital.

Sounds like she would have lost the baby in any case. Can they prove that would not have lost the baby if she went straight to the hospital? While I think the officers will get into some trouble, I do not think they should lose their jobs. I have a feeling this is going to become a rather long racial debate (sigh).

In any case, she will more then likely get some money out of it, because the old White Liberal Guilt Politically Correct BullShit factor will come into play and they will pay her some money.

Overall, a bad situation. Whatever the outcome, some people are not going to be happy.

well i guess non of you have ever miscarried before, cause if you did you would have a little empathy for her. It don't matter if she would have lost the baby or not she neeed medical attention, haveing a miscarrige can be fatal to a women in some cases, they had to get her med. att. even if she was lying just to be on the safe side.
Also i saw this on the news and when the had her at the jail they had to keep giving her new pants because she was bleeding that badly. So i think the cops made a very bad choice.

I saw this clip in its entirety on another site. (Sorry Scott.) It's about 15 minutes long. These cops were total assholes. At one point the woman says to the female cop, "I'm pregnant and I'm bleeding. I want to go to the hospital." The cop's reply? "How is that my problem?" I hope both of those cunts get suspended. And that woman is suing their asses off. And she'll win.

While these jerks were busy HARASSING this poor woman for a fucking tags violation.... they could have been doing some meaningful police work.

She should have just stayed home and called an ambulance. Driving around with no license and fake tags is just asking for trouble. Besides, what idiot goes to the hospital with no ID?? The first thing the hospital is going to ask for is her insurance card. The cops were wrong for treating her that way, but there was definitely something fishy about the whole situation from the start.

I don't think it would have killed these officers to take the woman to the hospital. I've taken dozens of people who were in custody to the hospital enroute to the slam (the most common ploy is "chest pains") and except for one or two of them all of them were faking it. So it took maybe another 45 minutes or so of my time to let them have their little diversion, I got to BS with the medics and nurses for a few minutes and Chuckles still ended up a guest of the state, with a nice fat emergency room bill to add to his problems.

Yes, most of the time it is a sham, and it does tax the system unreasonably. I’m sure the medics and ER docs get tired of it just like we do. But personally I enjoy having the minor comforts of life like a job and a house way too much to risk not taking the person who says "I need to go to the hospital" seriously and end up getting sued as a result when they keel over dead or something like this happens.

The poor baby was not the only miscarriage that night, justice suffered along with it. And now all of the decent cops out there have yet another mark against them because of idiots like these

she made a terrible mistake, why did she have a fake tag? if she was driving to the hospital, fuck it drive it anyway with or without a tag, if i'm driving to save a life i don't care if i'm dragging a deer on my bumper, i'd steal a car to take someone to a hospital...

I don't normally think people suing is right(people sue for anything and everything these days) but in this case I would sue for fucking millions and millions and make sure all the cops involved were fired.

I usually side with cops because I have friends that became cops and I know how difficult their job can be, dealing with the scum of the public. not in this case, that is so fucked up. get the person to the hospital and deal with her bullshit later.

Yup that was fucked up ive seen ten times worse crimes where the suspect was injured and they took em to the hospital first. I'm guessing he thought she was lying but when he saw the blood he should've gone straight to the hospital.

I'm tired of people saying that the cops have better things to do than "Harass" some poor lady...did she break the law? YES!! If you want "selective" enforcement then you get the ACLU 10 feet up your ass because they say your profiling...Folks, cops have a thankless job. No matter what they do, they're gonna piss somebody off. Now I'm not saying that these 2 were right for denying her medical attention, but people will say or do anything to get out of being arrested...the blood on the pants should have been a warning sign and they missed it, so they were wrong for that. But, please don't condemn all cops because of the mistakes of a few. Cops are not robots. They are human beings and are subject to the same human shortcomings that we all have.
