It could be me, but something didn't quiet fit with the gun sound. started off kinda normal... then sounded like he'd swapped to a shotgun lol

AussiePride - yeah, plus the four people in the lobby made a noise like a hundred people screaming... and the mikes on the outdoor surveillance cameras did an incredible job of picking up engine noise.
In fact, the whole thing was like a tutorial for Microsoft Hollywood Sound Effects Version 9.4.
I was waiting for a crack of thunder at the end, and a howling wolf.

Ya the sound on that was totally doctored. First three shots - Pistol, Last two sounded like some kinda huge hand-cannon.
The kind of random violence like this makes me fear for my safety. If it could happen to that guy it could happen to anyone. This is the kind of stuff that makes me look over my shoulder and shit when I'm walking down the street at night.
Y'know, I don't think that hotels would allow anybody to fake this shit.
Peoples' reactions seemed plausible. I'll take the dissenting opinion and say real...
it wasn't over no vacancies, because he was let into the hotel and did not have a conversation with the hotel lobby attendant, he just opened fire.

Ouch! Please don't shout, Mr. Sabbath! Anyway, I once tried to get a room at the Nova Cancies Hotel, with little success. I think they must be in one of these global chains.
How many times does it have to be said? If you want to kill someone, don't do it in some half-assed hotel lobby!
No! Do it in clear daylight in a mall full of people! Pop off some random people too if you like! Instant mental trauma for all the kids in the mall.
