Wiki-schmiki. Give me baseball or football anyday. Hockey and soccer are boring because it's just back and forth, and hardly anyone scores. There's not a lot of strategy, and who remembers hockey and soccer statistics? On the contrary, basketball is boring because it, too, is back and forth and there's so MUCH scoring that it gets monotonous. Football and baseball are thinking men's games.

And yeah there is quite a bit of strategy involved in hockey. I don't know if you ever play but if you do you'll understand some of the intricacies of the game.

I won't disagree with you though on the football and baseball issue. Assuming you're speaking of American football. I like both of those too.

@ gilfmeister -- I can understand soccer being boring but hockey?? Good god, how can you call such a fast paced sport boring? And scoring in baseball is much like hockey. Sheesh, I'm remembering all the baseball games I've watched that ended with scores like 2-1, or 2-0.

And there's not a lot of strategy!!???? arrgghh, I'm outta here before I go on a rant about spouting off on shit you know nothing about.

I agree, hockey is more exciting than soccer, and it is fast paced, but I just find it boring. Nothing personal, bro. But, baseball can have high scoring games, too, and generally does. When's the last time there was a 10-9 hockey game? With baseball, it's possible to score more than one run on a play. Example, a grand slam homerun in the ninth to change a score from 1-4 to 5-4. Even a 1-0 game can be exciting if a pitcher pitches a great game. So many things can happen in baseball. I'm sure you could teach me the intricacies of hockey, but I couldn't generate any interest to save my life. And what's the deal with the Stanley Cup in June? ICE hockey in summer? lol
