It's such a good thing that we are channeling all of our funds to help these people while our own citizens are starving in the streets and can't find homes. I agree with 801801801 about dropping bombs. We're so concerned about "innocent lives" over there, but I can't for the life of me, find one innocent life (with the exception of the poor girl on the ground who did nothing more than to fall in love with someone outside thier fucked up little world.)
I take that back, before I get flamed....I'm sure there are plenty of innocent people in those countries that support us, but unforntuatly, they don't get to voice that opinion. If they do, I'm pretty sure they wind up like her, or worse.

It isn't the muslim religion that promotes this shit, I know some muslims and they are the most humble and peaceful people I know, and these people that do this barbaric shit are only using the religion as a means of justifying their actions, it's no different than when someone claims they went on a killing spree because God told them to do it. I'm sure Allah or whatever God they praise wouldn't approve of such actions.
I also found it quite strange that while they were murdering this poor girl, they were making sure they covered up her legs and underwear with a jacket, cause I mean it's important that while they slay this girl that nothing sexual shows cause that would obviously be anti-religious.
@crederer: It is nice and politically correct to say that the muslim religion does not promote this... but in reality, where else in the world today, except for countries that are predominantly muslim, are things like this taking place? A few recently, maybe... Chechnya and a few others. But I think even looking at this objectively, you have to admit that there has been a pattern.
"Shariya Law" (sp?) dictates things like this, and it is promoted in muslim areas and muslim nations. The religion might not be -- strictly speaking -- a direct cause, but they have been closely tied.
Christianity did not, in itself, dictate the existence of the Crusades, the major Inquisitions, or other atrocities. It was people who wanted to solconsolidate power over others, by using the religion and its respective churches, who promoted those ideas. So you could truthfully say that Christianity was not at fault... but so-called Christians sure as hell were. And while you might not be able to say that the Muslim religion is at fault here, Muslim people sure as hell were.
Whatever the cause, this kind of garbage does have to end.

Islam is not a religion of peace. It divides the world into two: "house of god" (Muslims) and "house of war." (Infidels) It calls for a thing called jihad, a relentless war on the infidels to either convert or kill. The guys doing the stoning are probably the good Muslims. Back story, has more to do with customs/culture and taboos than religion. Man this is some sick shit:
Mosul, Iraq -- Up to 1000 men from the Yezidi Kurdish community of Mosul killed a teenager who's only crime was running away to marry a Muslim man whom she loved and converting to his religion.
For four months ago the girl had been given shelter by a local Muslim Sheik. It was reported that in the last few days her family persuaded her to return home, convincing her that she had been forgiven by her parents and relatives for her mistake.
In a short mobile video clip which appears to have been taken by locals at seen of the murder, the girl is seen being ambushed on her way home by a group of up to 1000 men who were waiting for her to return; the men killed her in the most brutal way possible, by throwing large stones on her head. The following clips show that while she is alive and crying for help she is taunted and kicked in her stomach until someone finishes her off by throwing a large stone on her face.

To start with, their accents sound like they are Iraqi but it is very hard to tell considering they're simply making sounds like a pack of dogs and chanting qur'anic verses (which must be pronounced perfectly)

I don't know whether to be amused or irritated that everyone assumed they're Muslims. In all likelihood this could be India (or an Arab nation, of course, though it would have to be an extremely conservative sector), and in any case, similar events occur in the name of some God or another on a regular basis pretty much everywhere: By supposed Muslims in the Middle East and North Africa, by supposed Christians in South America and elsewhere, by supposed Hindus and Sikhs in India, by supposed Shintos and Buddhists is Southeast Asia, under the guise of a hundred tribal religions in Africa, and by people like you here in the US and Europe. In every case it all comes down to xenophobia.
