In the 1980s Santiago Police Offciers killed a teenager. Because of this each year during the same week teenagers just riot the streets. Its the Day of the Young Combatant. I can give you guys more video and even pictures. Both my brother and father were there where that was beiung filmed and my bro even asked that kid in the video for a picture lol. So the kid posed for him :P. basically the cop doesnt do anything back because if he touched the kid the crowd would kill him (no joke). Anyone 18 or under can basically fuck with the police and they CANNOT do anything about it. They might take a kid and throw them in the jail bus but wont touch them. However, if you are 18+ and do touch the cops you will get your ass BEAT. This sucks because Im turning 18 and going back to Chile next year so I wont be able to particpate because I would rather not bruise my organs lol. Anyways, yes there is history to that riot, and no it is not a random act of violence on police and yes it would not happen here.
