It's a damn shame how people can just stand by and watch something like that happen without stepping in. What if that were their Mother,sister,aunt,grandm other,and nobody bothered to help them? Wouldn't they be angry at the people who could have helped,but did nothing. People should keep that sort of thing in mind when the see someone in need.

its hard to say what you would do if you seen this happen.its easy to say you would jump in and help but if you where there at the time you dont think like that.

Problem is, you'd go to the rescue expecting other good samaritans to join in, but they wouldn't. Then you'd be one more fool getting your ass whooped, probably worse than the person you are rescuing. That's why I carry two AK-47s with me whenever I leave the apt.

Dropped pie face is right. What that video shows is a classic example of the bystander effect. In short, it states that the more bystanders there are in a situation the less likely someone will help. Well.....if you were a bystander, what would be going through your minds? First I'd think "shit I should help this woman" then that would be quickly followed up with the thought "damn....these dudes probably have a weapon, and I don't" and that would be the end of it.

Its easy to say on this end of the computer screen what you would do, but until you're in the situation, you never know how you'll react.
