The first part was a typical bullshit Martial Arts demonstration of the Master's "power". Believe me, a lot of Martial Arts schools are more bullshit than anything else, if what you want to learn is how to fight. Not all, but many.

CRAZY MA JUST SO CARZY. let me tell you a story about Kung Fue Legend Bruce Lee, he had this chair which he would sit in for hours at a time. When he sat in this chair he would tap his fingers in a drum roll fashion on the wooden armrest as hard as he could focus ing all his energy on to the tips of his fingers. He practiced Chi as well, but actually masterd it. Bruce Lee could hit you with the very tips of his fingers and you would fly back ten feet.

The old "master" would never have submitted himself to that humiliation if he had consciously known that he didn't have this "internal energy". His students have probably developed a subconscious synergy with him -- they react the way they think they should, and possibly even believe that the master is actually doing it. The power of the mind to create what it wants is surprising.
That said, I do believe in "internal energy" fighting. I've personally been in a class with an Aikido instructor who had some moves that seemed almost supernatural, and demonstrated physical strength that no normal human body could possibly have. More interestingly, he was able to teach some of this to us noobs the first week of class. Whether it's "real" or "just the power of the mind", there is definitely something going on.
