Is it wrong that I'm unimpressed with the fact that the tiger didn't maul both their faces off? It's time human beings learn that wild animals aren't fuckin' toys. Oh well, maybe next time.

The circus that comes through my area eliminated these sorts of features years ago. Too many protests. The lions and tigers seemed cool back then but people were not as aware it seems. I do remember that it smelled bad. Mostly now its human cannonball, tightrope, trapeze etc. There was a program on T.V. last night, with an Englishman who tours the world and it was featuring Las Vegas. One of the people interviewed runs an act with Tigers. He keeps them caged on his property and they showed feeding time. The cats changed from looking bored into the wild animals that they are meant to be. The host was

There's a place in Ohio called the Siberian Tiger Fondation, a married couple care for tigers and a few other exotic pets. My dad was recording our small group in the main tiger cage and one of the more aggressive tigers swung at me with it's claws ready to do some damage, I was lucky i was just out of its' range.
And yes I did have my back to it, this was about 8 years ago.

I have to ask again... how is this "lucky"?
(1) The woman went in to a cage filled with pissed-off, carnivorous animals larger than she is.
(2) She came close to getting eaten by said animals.
Can someone really explain to me how this was "lucky"? I would call it something more like Darwin Award wannabe.

@Toxicity: A lot of these locked up animals are BEATEN into doing these little parlor tricks just to entertain us.
There are people with pets comparable to that, but that's what the ASPCA is for; to lock those SOBs up. What's honestly being done about Big Top animal cruelty?
Hey I live In B.C. Canada and we just had some lady up north die from a tiger clawing at her leg through a small space between the ground and the fence. The tiger managed to cut through an artery and she died withen ten minutes.

I don't think the tiger was going for her, it was looking at and going for the dangly things hanging off the bottom of her dress. Who the hell would wear something like that around a cat? They're instinctually programmed to go for that kind of stuff.
If the tiger wanted it could've taken that guy out right along with her, but it backed off, because it just wanted that mouse-y looking thing she was dragging behind her and the trainer broke it's focus on that.
