This happened in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia back in 2002. I was there when it happened - worked there for 14 years as a programmer with the Bin Ladin Group of Companies. They tried to arrest the man, suspected of being a terrorist, but was attacked instead. The man was armed with a .45 pistol and was shot in the head with an AK-47. I was also two blocks away when the American Consulate in Phalasteen Road was attacked by terrorists.
