Seat belts, lol. They can get seat belts if they want but they'd have to ride with the special kids :). And on subject the kids are fine they're going through worse things in life than that.

Seatbelts are not used on school buses because:

1) Kids will take them off the first chance they get

2) Shoulder belts won't fit on buses as the buses are currently designed

3) Lap belts alone actually increase the likelihood of serious injury

This issue is under discussion all the time, however. Redesigning buses to have shoulder and lap seatbelts is probably a good idea, but retrofitting existing buses would be very, very expensive, and buying a new fleet even more so.
