Well, I have lived in Bulgaria for 18 years and NEVER getting hit by a car even once. Since I moved to USA and started riding a bike I got hit by cars two times in two months. I almost got hit another 4 times!

Amazing how we manage to export McDonald's and David Hasselhoff to these countries before we export things like crosswalks, seatbelts, and traffic lights.
