Not sure this observation has been made, but in all honesty I see very little difference in the way these mud hut dwellers in Liberia behave, when compared to that of, say, your average run of the mill black neighborhood in America. In fact, their is no difference at all.

Wow are you blind??? Any Civil War in "Any" country have people killing "innocent" civilians. Look at AMERIKKKA during their Civil War, North V.S South. Their were many "innocent" people killed then too. Africa isn't the "only" country that's had a Civl War with a bunch of people going around killing people who are against the leaders or have done Genocide. Can we say EUROPEANS.

It's not a race thing,it's a human thing. Black,white,brown,yellow, every race of man has at one time or another perpetrated such violence. It's because collectively we are all still very primitive. We exsert so much energy in attempts to harm and control each other. Just imagine what could be accomplished if just a fraction of that energy were used for something positive. Here is some information to think over and realise the seriousness of the situation in Liberia.
Around 250,000 people were killed in Liberia's civil war and many thousands more fled the fighting. The conflict left the country in economic ruin and overrun with weapons. The capital remains without mains electricity and running water. Corruption is rife and unemployment and illiteracy are endemic.
It's a country that must be hell to live in, and needs help and support to recover not stupid fucking racist comments from brainless fucks.

Yah well its thanks to the slave trade that Africa is so fucked up, so no we didnt do them a favor by bringing them over to America.
How can they be so poor and yet they can afford such high caliber weapons? And to NUIYZ, I have a feeling the US is sponsoring the weapons for the one side, and selling them to the other.
As for the video: barbarism at its height. It is also important to note that these clowns have no idea what they're doing and a well-trained cleaning force would have no problem dispatching these guys, a la Executive Outcomes and Sierra Leone. Seriously, if you have ever seen a real fighting force you know you don't tap dance in the middle of the street while trying to engage the enemy with your rifle. All those people killed were probably mostly defenseless citizens who surrendered to these animals.
Thank God the war ended in 2003.... still not exactly a hotspot to tour or live in, though.

I'm sure that all this fighting must have resulted in better schools/education, more agriculture and a more steady form of government right?
