Why the fuck was the camera guy filming this and not going to kick the shit out of the owner. I am the proud owner of a Rottweiler and they are the most loyal dogs one can own as long as you treat them right. If I saw this happening you could bet your ass I would be kicking the owners ass. I have zero tolerance for animal abuse. People wonder why Rottweilers and Pittbulls attack and injure people, look at the video, it's beat into them. Sick Sick video. The owner and Vick should both be shot in the fucking head. If it's apparent that I have more respect for animals then people, it's true in a lot of cases. Trouble is, intervening while a man beats a rottweiler is almost as dangerous as intervening while a man beats his girlfriend.
Both the rottweiler and girlfriend are going to turn on you too.

Nico you make a good point about getting involved, the dog will defend that piece of shit no matter what he was beating it with. The dog will not rationalize that you are there to help it will only understand it's food source is being threatened. Best thing to do was film and send it to police, Pakbar goes to jail and dog is taken from him.

Because they're fucking pricks. What else? Of course, I do not condone this kind of treatment. Hell, I normally considered myself pretty desensitized to this type of stuff, yet I couldn't even watched that video the whole way because it disturbed me so much.
However, many of the people here are just plain fucking pricks. They're the kind of people who can see humans getting brutally murdered and not be nearly as enraged as when they see a cat or a dog getting mistreated.
And why? Well, the reason I usually hear are along the line of 'because humans are naturally cruel while animals are innocent'. Uh-huh.
Frankly, I think anyone who can look at any form of senseless violence as somehow less atrocious (or meaningful, if you will) than another form of senseless violence is probably not nearly as compassionate as they like to think of themselves.

@ whatsabolo; I believe the reason is that anyone who has ever owned a dog and loved it has experienced something most people spend their whole lives trying to find in human companions and fail, true unconditional love. There is also tens of thousands of years of this symbiotic relationship which has caused not only dogs but humans as well to evolve with one another.
