On November 29, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly voted 33 to 13, with 10 abstentions, in favor of a Partition Plan that created the State of Israel. The British reliquished their mandate over Palestine in 1948. War broke out between the Arabs and Jews soon after. The 1948 Arab-Israeli War, established the state of Israel as an independent state, with the rest of the British Mandate of Palestine split into areas controlled by Egypt and Transjordan.
In 1949, Israel signed separate cease-fire agreements with Egypt on February 24, Lebanon on March 23, Transjordan on April 3, and Syria on July 20. Israel was able to draw its own borders, occupying 70% of Mandatory Palestine, fifty percent more than the UN partition proposal allotted them. These borders have been known afterwards as the "Green Line". The Gaza Strip and West Bank were occupied by Egypt and Transjordan respectively.

You forget to mention that the war began after the Arabs rejected the UN's two-state solution out of hand and troops from Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Egypt and Syria invaded Israel.
It was self-defence, not aggression.

Keep in mind that before 1922 more then 11 % of the population in Palestine was of Jews. It was around this year and later then Jewish Immigration started and hundreds of thousands of Jews entered Palestine. The Palestinians were not the Nazi's, the were not the ones who murdered Jews but they were the one who paid and are paying the cost of the Holocaust by life and Land. In 1947 the U.N declared that Palestine will be divided into two states, Israel and Palestine. Palestinians would be given 43% land despite the fact that they made up more then 67% of the population and owned more then 92 % of the land.
Today Palestine occupies less then 50% of the Land Given to them by the U.N and has no strategic power in the rest 50% due to full scale Israeli Control and Occupation. According to U.N there are more then 4.9 million Palestinians refugees all being Muslims, Greek Orthodoxy, Greek Catholicism, and members of other forms of Christianity. So get your facts right, Israel has been condemned by 113 Nations @ the U.N time & time again ( with the exception of U.S ). If this shooting would have taken place any where else in the world, or mostly a Muslim Nation. Scumbags like you would have labeled it as Brutality, but in this case you call it "Self defense ' against some rocks thrown by teenagers.
