The woman is a pro-Chavez politician. The journalist wrote a book recently in which he recounted the death of the woman's infant son in the early 90s. She accused him of "slander" although it isn't clear what part of his book she meant, or why simply retelling an event would be considered slanderous.

The woman's name is iris varela. She's deputy in Venezuela. One of the closest follower of Hugo Chavez. The journalist (Azocar) didn't ofend her or her son. In his book he wrotte the interviews he performed to the doctor in the hospital where the kid died. That woman is completly insane and Azocar behaved like a genttleman
