I'm a security guard, and I haven't had a problem like this yet. But I can tell where the guard is coming from.
His job is to deter theft, vandalism, and other crimes from taking place on or to the property. I don't care if the guard is 18 or 80, it's their job. To skater assholes it may seem silly, but then they should also look at the costs of some of the structures they're grinding their boards on.
I think their "profession" is funnier. I know skateboarding takes a lot of skill, but I just find it funny that kids like that believe they'll even make it far. If they were to act like that toward their manager (verbally, ect), they'd be out of a job.
Is skateboarding bad? No. Do people like the kids in this video give skateboarders a bad name? Definitely.
