Looks like the kicker nailed the guy right on the carotid sinus with the top flat of his foot. It's a branch point of the carotid artery in the neck that is vulnerable to sudden pressure changes. A hard, sudden strike there, such as from a baseball or a foot, briefly interrupts blood flow to the brain. The body interprets this as a sudden drop in blood pressure and compensates by boosting blood pressure throughout the body. Since the body's blood pressure wasn't actually low to begin with, the sudden spike in pressure causes a brief loss of consciousness. The guy probably woke up within a few seconds. This kind of knockout is not too uncommon in little league sports where kids get hit in the neck with a ball.
