GOLI, let me explain the "double edged" gun issue, here in the US.
The majority of all gun related crimes are committed with illegally obtained guns-therefore gun laws do not work-they do not apply to those doing bad things with them.
What good is a backgroung check, tests, fees, licenses, approval, etc.-when most of those who obide by all these things wont use a gun for murder, robbery, vengence, etc.
I am all for gun laws & legal gun ownership.
However none of that changes the fact that leroy will buy a stolen handgun for $100. & use it for insane purposes.
The ONLY gun law the US needs is this-
If you are cought in possession of any firearm not registered to you or with removed serial numbers, you WILL do a mandatory ten years in prison.
It would take a few years after that federal law...but you would'nt see the gun related crimes here that you do now.

I think all kinds of weapons, guns, shotguns, rifle etc. whatsoever should get totally banned, and I mean TOTALLY.
Expect three.
1) Police should have right to wear guns
2) Military
3) Hunter, but it should be VERY difficult to get license to gun, backgroung check, tests. and should be overlooked by the government, only in special areas for hunting.
If you wear guns for security, bear with me, United States would have been first place the best and most safetiest place in this earth. but it isn't. it's a fact. The gun policy in America is totally wrong (Also alot of other issues)
