Any of you 911 dispatchers?? If you are not or never have been a 911 dispatcher you have NO right to question how they do their job.
The 911 dispatcher that took the call did the right thing. I should know I am a 911 dispatcher with over 10 years of expirience. You have to stop and consider that cops, paramedics and firefighters (which I just happen to be also) are no superman or wonder woman.
As a 911 dispatcher it is my job to get the caller help as soon as possible but before you send in help you have to have information to give to the responders so they will know what they may be going up against.
As bad as it is, people die from sad and sometimes sadistic ways that most people could not understand but you can't help them if the people you send to help also get injured or killed

actually since 911 is made available thru tax payers dallars id say we have plenty right to question it.you think that if a civilian has any doubt about their safty we should just keep it to ourselves becuz its your job, not ours? i think not. things can always be improved.
keep in mind im not complaining about this case exactly, but to say we shouldnt care about how things are done that directly effect our safety and security is just, well, dumb.

I know they need to be...but it is actually annoying sometimes to hear how calm the operators are.
