I believe that in a perfect world the punishment for adultery (note the word adultery and NOT premarital sex) should be stoning to death for both sexes involved - which is EXACTLY what Islam actually teaches, despite all the propaganda you all seem to believe thanks to western education/media/written-t ext-books. The truth of the matter is, the punishments often differ because of local TRADITION and not religion - that and the fact that in some cases the woman is married, while the man is not meaning she is committing adultery while he is just having sex without marriage.

We must all learn that this is the way they do things. Indeed from all of our points of view this is incredibly fucked up. But if you understand the concequences before commiting the crime then it's your own fault for not abiding by the rules. Stoning is fucked, but if they knew this was going to happen if they commited their crimes then it's their fault if they choose to still carry out the crime. It's how they do it over there. There's nothing we can do about it. What really fucks me off though is that their trial system isn't accurate at all. They don't have the technology we have to get the decision correct. You could be at the wrong place at the wrong time and get accused of doing something you didn't do. Then slice! off goes you're head. Personally they should implement a better trial justice system before operating executional methods such as this one. We all know that's not going to happen.

Iranians are predominately Shiite Muslims. There is a HUGE difference between Suni Muslims and Shiite Muslims, so much so that each group claims the other is not actually following Islam. Most of the atrocities taking place in Iran right now are battles between the two sects. My ex husband was Shia, while I am Suni. The truth of the matter is, both sects tell lies about each other. In my experience, Shia beliefs are more violent than Suni - an example of which, the Shia beat themselves each year on the 10th of Maharam (A date with significance in Islamic history) where Suni Muslims do not. There are many other examples, but the majority of Muslims believe in one of the Suni sects and are less violent, and less extremist in nature. This of course is excepting Osama Bin Laden and his followers. And i know you dont want to argue with me. That is not my point. I just thought I would share a little information with you.
