I think this a case of stagehand's revenge. This sh*t has gone on for decades going back to Ann Margaret. They know full well people on stage with lights in their eyes cannot see the drop-off, but they do nothing to guard against it. 'Pretty sure they run a pool for when someone takes a dive.
