I have never seen of 100 fisherman in a boat b4... if there is, is also hard for them to catch the fish....

Actually, they were probably drug traffickers. They were rumbled by the coast guard and as is common practice with traffickers, the set fire to their own boat in a bid to destroy the evidence.
Can you imagine it in court? "So Mr Chu, how did your boat catch fire as soon as the coast guard turned up?" - "Oh you burned the toast... OK."
