God created life and gave it full freedom, nothing is perfect in this world except for him, and he loves Christopher like he does love everybody else, if you want god to intervene in your life, you have to ask for it, ask for him to protect you from things like this happenn to your child.
He may not be giving you what you want, be hes certainly not responsible for the bad ones either, thats the price we pay for all this freedom, but i believe life is just the first 'stage' of something eternal.
(yes i know its super easy to say all this when you are fairly healthy, but im doing my best)
