If you have not been keeping up on current events, instead of going after Bin Laden who did this, the Bush admin decided to start a war in Iraq based on lies of weapons of mass destruction that his own administration admitts were not true. i would assert that the US is engaged in war(s) in the middle east to ensure they control the supply of oil, not for acquisition (as the US gets the majority of it's oil from Canada) but rather to ensure that China doesn't see middle eastern oil. People might think the US government is inept but i think they're looking at the big picture, planning for the distant or not so distant inevitability that China will surpass the US as a global superpower.

I have heard the oil theory before and ask if that is the case, then where has our break at the gas pumps! In general you dont tell your county you are going to war for some made up reason and kill off 3000 of your own troops not to mention woman and children in a country who had nothing to do with this for the purpose of claiming an oil field becasue China might become a superpower wich they already are- I am not buying it negate-the Republican excuse machine is finished- so when are we going to find Bin Laden since that was the topic to begin with-as it always has been!! there is no price dip in gas/oil because...
a) the 2nd largest exporter of oil to the USA is Saudi Arabia and what possible reason would they have to reduce prices for the USA?
and
b) the USA is at war, war costs money and fuel, millions of barrels a day of refined oil that the USA produces are being diverted and in consumed by ongoing war ergo less of the product makes it to the american consumer thus the price does not go down

i think that some of the most amazing footage was of the people and their reactions. we have all seen the towers get hit, burn, and crumble. but how often do we see the citizens of nyc quietly witnessing the destruction of one landmark they held true. that was one day the states were truly united.
