I remember a story my grandmother once told me. I remember it well cause she rarely talks let alone tells stories from her past. And it was an awesome story too.

Any animal (or insect) that ever walked, crawled, or swam in the ocean has been eaten by man at one time or another. To think otherwise is incredibly naive. I would consider NOT consuming the flesh of a dead animal an even greater travesty than the death of the animal itself. I look at the meat selection at my butcher's and I see 'oxtail' or 'quail' or 'lamb'... I didn't kill the damn thing. Maybe there's some other hang up that makes me think it's wrong to consume it.

Farmers kill these things to protect their land and crops from being ravished by them. Prairie dogs are essentially "farm rats"..... If they don't control them, they overrun the farm and put the farmer out of business.... Reason enough I think to off quite a few of them...

I'm a commercial ammunition manufacturer that uses these bullets quite often. They are a very humane way to deal with a pesky, problimatic varmint. Prarie dogs cause severe problems by digging holes that cattle and horses break their legs in. They destroy food crops, they undermine foundations.
And when they're shot, they make great fertilizer.
Try thinking with the big head, instead of trying to get the PETA girl next to you on the small one.

Firstly it's not a "grenade" it's just a frangible round (frangible = easily shattered), second of all it's not "inhumane" compared to a normal round, since it does a lot more damage to a creature this size, it is more likely to kill - quickly.
As to safety, it is much safer to use compared to standard ammunition because it will not over-penetrate or richocet 2 miles and take out an eye.
Even vegetarians have no business condemning this, unless they grow ALL of their own food or plant/animal based products without the use of lethal vermin control and have no problem with others starving due to crop damage by vermin. Realize that these creatures are killed to safeguard YOUR food supply.
