The best part of the story is...
"No criminal charges were filed accusing him of injuring the woman."
You can blame the prosecutors for that. He gets "fired" (okay, great) but his superiors make sure he has a clean record so he can get another job in law enforcement AND own a gun. He wouldn't be able to do either if he got a felony assault rap, the way he should have and they know it.
It's interesting there is NO investigation as to WHO turned off the tape. Why? Same reason. They're STILL covering up for a bad cop and his buddies who tampered with the evidence.

The injuries sustained to her face could have resulted from 1 single blow to the face. Like falling on the floor and landing face first because your hands are cuffed behind your back. The 2 black eyes would be a result of a severely broken nose. There is no indication that the cop hit her. He was trying to get her to sit down and she was resisting. She COULD have just fallen and whacked her face flat on the floor. I'm not saying that this is what happenned. I'm just saying that this is a possibility.
We'll just never know for sure, will we? Since the camera, somehow mysteriously, got turned off during the incident. Fell face first on the floor or slammed face first into a wall - who's to know for sure? I'm betting on, based on increasing police violence, her being slammed face first into a wall.

I see the usual paranoid police-haters are jumping to their standard paranoid and expletive filled premature conclusions.
As for "corruption" and the supposed deletion of video evidence, has it not occurred to you people that maybe the officer shut the camera off because he was about to leave the room? Maybe the tape was running low and he didn't want to waste what was left on ... filming a suspect sitting by herself in a chair.
But of course, some people with an irrational hatred of the police would rather find sinister motives wherever they look.
It seems perfectly plausible to me that the officer shut the camera off and left the room. And that upon his return he found the _drunk and unruly_ woman lying on the floor in a pool of her own blood due to her own actions. There is NO evidence at all that her injuries were not completely self-inflicted.
Add to the picture, the fact that she had been arrested for running over some innocent person whilst drunk at the wheel of a vehicle and we can even start to build a _motive_ which might explain her injuries being _deliberately self-inflicted_ as a means of generating a scandal, sympathy and possibly avoiding a very serious charge (for all she knew, the person she is alleged to have run over may of died.)
Use your brains to think, instead of relying on irrational hatred.

If I am not mistaken, that is a meter for measuring alcohol in the breath which she is being sat next to. The most likely scenario from the evidence presented here is that the suspect knew she would fail a blood alcohol test and subsequently be convicted of running over / killing someone whilst DUI.
In order to avoid this outcome, she severely injured herself whilst the officer was absent, in the hope that this would get her out of having to take the test, most likely by slamming her head against a table in the room. Notice the pattern of blood, a large pool mostly in one place, not indicative of a melee or struggle, but of someone remaining in one place after having sustained the injuries. The officer returns, switches on the camera and tells the woman to stay where she is (for her own safety.)
In my opinion this is a perfectly plausible scenario and more likely than the officer having beaten the woman, considering that he seemed perfectly calm and level headed (in contrast to her violent outbursts.)

Pedestrian, vehicle, it's a minor detail with respect to the point, she was arrested for DWI and hit-and-run and judging by her actions would of failed the breath test and been convicted, thus arises the motive for self-injury.
The main point I'm making is that paranoid non-thinkers like yourself jump to their baseless conclusions in the absence of any evidence.
As for the PD not agreeing with me, if you spent some time learning how to read instead of perfecting foul language and abuse, then you would of noticed that the news report stated:
"Willis was fired earlier this month for what officials said was his handling of the incident. No criminal charges were filed accusing him of injuring the
woman."
There is no suggestion of foul play by the officer, only that he handled the situation in an inappropriate or negligent way (e.g leaving a violent drunk unattended where she could split her head open and cause an embarrassment for the department.)
Regardless of how much you swear and throw juvenile tantrums and insults, it doesn't change the basic fact that this video provides no evidence of foul play by the police - in contrary to what you and others claimed.

I think there is a huge difference between hitting a pedestrian (possibly killing them) and hitting another vehicle wouldn't you say? After all....hitting a pedestrian was the sole reason you assume she would go to great lengths to injure herself. Wanna know what truth really hurts?....It's that sometimes police screw up...and sometime police screw up bad. Also I notice that you seem most vocal and trollish on videos where women are being abused. That only leads me to believe that you are in fact a woman hater.

Here's some questions:
If the cop was smart enough to turn off the camera while he beat her, why would he be stupid enough to turn it back on and incriminate himself?
Also, if the cop did actually beat her, wouldn't there be obvious forensic evidence on either of his fists, flashlight, nightstick, clip board, etc.? There's no way you could do that amount of damage to a person without leaving some sort of evidence obvious enough to convict you.
.... and doesn't the officer in question seem a bit too calm for someone who just nearly beat a woman to death?
Sorry, I just don't believe the allegations. The fact that the victim is parlaying this incident into an attempted acquittal of her initial charges speaks volumes. Victims want money and justice.... not a free walk on DUI and Hit and Run charges.

The only problem with your theory(which is very well thought out)is as he sits her in the chair and says will you listen now, her nose is broken and bleeding every where.Then the camera shuts off again and she is more fucked up.
At the 1:00 minute mark you can see her face is bleeding. He says "do you understand me now " and she says " yeah I understand". You need to stop being a cop sucker and look at that woman.
But let's look at your points. I do see what you mean about her nose at 1:00, but.. I would direct you to the very beginning of the video. Her nose is already broken/damaged at this point, in fact she is trying to stem the flow with a tissue at the same time as she tries to escape from the room. She asks to call someone (her doctor?) but the cop tells her to stay there as there are rules that have to be followed.
He then cuffs her, making it impossible for her to further deal with the blood seeping from her nose. Have another look, her nose is broken from the outset, possibly as a result of her hit-and-run?

while i do know that such things happen, especially when people are extremely drunk, excited, combative, etc.etc. - appears to me porky made a number of "stoopid" mistakes that any cop fresh outta trainin would know better than do:
1. should NOT have been alone with defendant of opposit sex, especially under the circumstances.
2. should NOT have handcuffed her behind her back with her being as drunk as she OBVIOUSLY was.
3. should NOT have continued with the confrontational exchange as long as he did.
4. should NOT have been slamming her around AFTER she was handcuffed
5. should NOT have had that extra donut - the increased sugar levels act as steroids and cause you to rant and rage more than usual

having had to deal with countless intoxicated people I can safely say that a drunk female is way more likely to injure themselves trying to wrestle with you than a male suspect, mostly from hitting the floor or wall or any nearby loose objects when you shove them away in defense. Much to the dislike of any rabid feminists on the net, women are more brittle
