Recently we have had shootings at colleges in what are known as "Gun free zones". That is like putting a sign in front of your house announcing that you don't have an alarm or dog. This is a fine example of what happens when bad guys try to rob people who are armed.

Be prepared to possibly do some prison time if the beating is severe enough to land the asshole in the hospital. I know a guy doing time for merely trying to protect himself. He was out at the movies with his girlfriend one night in '05 and was jumped by 3 punks trying to rob him. To say that the one guy who DIDN'T run off was beaten pretty bad would be an understatement. The photographs of him a day after the beating were shown in court. You'd think dude being robbed was justified in defending he and his girlfriend, wouldn't you? Well, not according to our court system, who deemed the beating, EXCESSIVE. I don't know all the details of the case but what I do know is, dude defending himself and who had no criminal record is doing 5 years. True story...In any situation you find yourself, you really must exercise self control. If you try and be a hero, it just may backfire on you. Don't do something you may regret
