Dude, sharia isn't limited solely to punishing takfiris -- it extends to the whole of life. In this case, the treatment of these criminals was harsher than that which would be imposed by Muslim law. A criminal justice system meting out these forms of punishment would never convict anyone, as defense lawyers could easily find jurors unwilling to impose such gross penalties. Therefore, there would be more criminals on the street, not less. Slow your role, GG.
