That moose was small. Average height at the shoulders generally ranges between 6 ½-7 ½ feet (over 2 metres) for an adult moose. The kids should not be anywhere close to that kind of animal as they're very unpredictable.

This reminds me of the time when I was at a drive-through safari park, and they gave you buckets of animal feed to give to the animals along the road. They always make sure to remind you never to open your doors or to try and feed the bison, but inevitably some jackass always does. The last time I went, these fat bitches in their minivan opened the sliding side door to try and feed the bison and the motherfucker stuck half of his body into the car and ate the kids.

While living in west Maine with my parents, back on July 6th, 2007, my parents, a relative, and I returned from a semi-local italian restaurant in total darkness to encounter a side-of-the-road moose. It weighed in at about 1000 pounds, had its antlers, and trotted up the road on the side for a full minute as we followed it. Then it took a side route into the woods, and we kept going. I guess this one did not enjoy being blinded from carlights.

My parents kept talking about the moose that they see from time to time. They've seen them since 3 years ago, but I hadn't ever seen one in the state until then.

A much funnier incident occurred with my parents' neighbors, before moving up, the neighbor was busy cleaning the yard down around his outdoor pool one summer years ago, and he heard this sloppy splashing behind him. He turned around and looked up...there was a giant moose drinking out of his pool. It saw the guy, got wide-eyed, turned around, and trotted back into the woods.
