i do not believe all religious people are republicans, nor do i have anything against religious people as long as they don't try to impose their beliefs upon others. what struck me as odd was that he chose to pair atheists and conservatives together when, atleast in my experience, atheists are usually more liberal than religious people. he also paired religious people and democrats together when it is the republicans who usually have the support of the major christian organizations. as to your point about the pastor in the black church telling the people to vote for the democrats. this is obviously inappropriate. however, there have been numerous instances where christians leaders with a far greater span of supporters have told people to vote for a republican candidate. equally wrong ofcourse.

Maybe the second amendment means nothing to you but it does to me and I have my gun on my hip to keep people that were in the video from shooting me or people I care about. The man was obviously in a gang and apparently illegal. Two reasons he can't own a gun legally and two more reasons (if we needed more) that real upstanding citizens should own a gun.

To answer your question, no, I am not in a gang, I own a gun because I am allowed to and I have accepted the responsibility to own one. And yes my ancesters emigrated to this country, legally, and they strived to become Americans, they learned the language, customs, history of America and were absorbed into the country that they so admired. They believed in the greatness of America and were not here simply to find temporary work and send their dollars back to their home country. They wanted to be Americans. Their is a stark difference sweetheart.
