I absolutely love how some people are saying the guy who got beat with the shovel deserved it, because he probably provoked his neighbor.
Granted, yes, he probably did provoke him, but anyone who retaliates to an insult with a SHOVEL is pretty much deranged to begin with. I don't care how insulting someone is to you, hitting them with a shovel makes you worse than the one who did the insulting. I've mouthed off to someone pretty damned harshly before, got warned, did it again, and got punched, once, in the mouth. And I readily admit I deserved it. But beating the hell out of someone with a SHOVEL because they mouthed off to you . . . goes above and beyond an overreaction.
