No need for a landing ramp when your goal is to simply generate notoriety. See the Australian's in general feel left behind in all things of worth and will do virtually anything for their 15 minutes in the spotlight. This knucklehead for instance knows there is no real accomplishment in actually making the jump and had no need for a proper landing, hence no landing ramp, therefore a spectacular splattering will cause any corporate sponsorship viewing this to think, "hey this lunatic will chance breaking his fackin neck for a chance to be paid riding our gear and will draw crowds of beer guzzling boneheads who will be brainwashed by our giant advert's of beer, chewing tobacco, motor oil and lawn mower's..." So now the knucklheaded Aussie figure's he's made the bigtime and get's a proper landing ramp to break his fackin' neck on.

You couldn't have said it better. The Australian's are so far behind on most everything they actually think they've lapped the leader and are ahead. You don't have to live in Australia for too long before realizing just how clueless most of the nation is. I have to admit there are a few pretty intelligent Australian's but only because they look beyond the mainstream media for their perspective's on reality. Otherwise Australian's in general are like a nation of seven year old's though that may be too much credit.
