It was on animal planet when this guy (video is on YouTube) got attacked and had half of his lower leg bitten off by a bull shark during an interview.
Anyway, show made different mechanical sharks with bites in comparison to those of real, large sharks.. Pretty neat. Great white can easily put hundreds of lbs. of pressure and break through bone.. Bull sharks especially - their teeth are even sharper than the Great White.

True.. I just hope they let the shark go. Shark numbers are depleting all over the world. Getting them back up in population will take more than a decade seeing as they aren't mature enough to breed for nearly half that long.

Sounds like you know what you're talking about. When I was in middle school and part of high school we would go shark fishing at night and it was kinda like having our own bar. We would catch some sharks, always threw them back, and had some of the best times of my life.

Either way, fact is shark numbers are depleting. Once they're gone you're going to see a lot of muck in the oceans seeing as how there will be nothing to clean up the carcasses.

sometimes you should look at life like the glass is half full. sharks have been around for hundreds of millions of years and will probably be around long after humans. people make stupid mistakes in all areas of life. educating people about how awesome nature is in its beauty in simplicity may allow us to look at ourselves and realize that the earth is not our garbage disposal.

Currently, some species are being finned and fished to near extinction which may have profound negative effects upon all other organisms within the marine environment. If something radical is not done soon to help the plight of sharks, it may be too late!
